February 13, 2012

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ—Feb. 13, 2012—The National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) will honor 18 graphic communications companies for marketing excellence with NAPL Management Plus Program Marketing Plus Awards at the industry-wide Vision 3 Summit in Marco Island, FL, Feb. 19-22, 2012. For information about the conference, go to www.vision3summit.org.

Leading the award honors were Action Graphics of Lincoln Park, NJ; Castle Press of Pasadena, CA; Hatteras Press of Tinton Falls, NJ; and Specialty Print Communications of Niles, IL. Each company won five awards.

Specialty Print Communications led the parade of Gold Awards, with three top prizes. Hatteras Press, Ripon Printers (Ripon, WI) and Grand River Printing & Imaging (Belleville, MI) each won two Gold Awards.

“Each year, the scope and sophistication of these entries grow as industry companies strengthen their considerable skills as marketing services providers,” said NAPL President and CEO Joseph P. Truncale, Ph.D. “The submissions this year were at the highest level of marketing excellence in everything from direct mail to website presence, and there was stiff competition for the top honors. Marketing continues to become an increasingly important part of our industry’s services, and we are excited to spotlight the outstanding work of these companies at our awards presentation on Feb. 21.

“The Marketing Plus program does not judge printing craftsmanship—although there were many splendid examples of superior printing in the entries,” Truncale continued. “Instead, Marketing Plus recognizes those companies that have demonstrated their ability to realize the full potential of marketing in all its forms as a key driver of their clients’ success and their own growth. NAPL is proud to honor their achievements.”

NAPL Marketing Plus Awards are selected on the basis of points gained via an objective scoring measurement that takes into account both the individual end product or campaign and its success in meeting its stated goals.
