Static Cling Decal Installation Video

The Buhl Press is often asked for our recommendation on how to best install a Static Cling decal.

Thus, we produced the following video, which demonstrates our step-by-step installation procedures.

Materials needed:
  • Soap & Water solution
  • Measuring tape
  • Masking tape
  • Squeegee
  • Paper towels
  • Static Cling decal

Temperature:
  • The application surface and accompanying ambient area should be 40°F or above for best results

Surface cleanliness:
  • The application surface must be clean and free of any dirt, grease, oil, wax, dust, gum or foreign matter
  • Household and/or available commercial cleansers or cleaning solvents can be used to remove contaminants from the application surface
  • After cleaning, the surface should be rinsed with clean, warm water and dried with a clean, lint-free soft cloth

Application of decal:
  • Lay the decal on a flat surface
  • Carefully peel back the release liner completely (for two person application, one person can hold the decal while the other removes liner)
  • Spray wetting solution (Soap & water solution) onto the back side of the decal
  • Spray wetting solution onto the application surface
  • Position top of decal onto the moistened surface
  • Carefully use a squeegee or roller to remove excess moisture and air bubbles from under the decal
  • Working from the center of the decal to the outside edges using steady easy pressure
  • Carefully wipe newly applied decal with a paper towel to remove residual moisture so that the decal is dry
  • If air bubbles occur, smooth the air bubble to the outside of the decal (air bubbles can also be punctured with a needle and smoothed down with a squeegee)

Must See - 3D Floor Graphics

Must See - 3D Floor Graphics

The development of 3D Floor Graphics has set a new standard in print advertising because a new dimension is being integrated with a brand message, which adds to the appeal of the product at the Point of Sale.

We are successfully offering an innovative process thanks to our partnership with the world leader in 3D design and in the production of large-format advertising designs. Our 3D Floor Graphics not only appear three-dimensional, they look like they are upright.

We contrast our floor graphics to some existing Photoshop® methods that simply distort an image while incorporating false shadowing around the graphic. Our process for producing 3D Floor Graphics uses a combination of mathematical and optical principles with design elements, to generate a real effect of height and depth for our customer’s brand.

Through this attractive and effective redesign of existing single dimension images, the product advertised on a 3D Floor Graphic is visible for customers from a distance and presents itself in a surprising and highly convincing form. Thus, we literally put your product in the limelight.

Our goal with this technology is to help you secure a clear competitive advantage. To begin, we discuss the concept  and develop a clear idea of what you would like to achieve. Then,  we request the artwork that is required to achieve implementation of the correct perspective. Next, we model the 3D concept in a jpeg.  Subsequently, we create the supporting design elements. Finally, we render the completed graphic.

If you utilize floor graphics currently, then you already understand the sales lift potential that can come from this form of advertising. Ask yourself, how much more time would a consumer spend looking at your brand when it appears to be coming out of the floor?

This is what we are hearing from our clients:

·  “We have to have this!”
·  “I can’t stop looking at it. I’m mesmerized.”
·  “This is the best innovation that has come to printing in years.”
·  “I feel like I can reach out and pick the bottle off the floor.”
·  “I have seen attempts for 3D graphics before, but nothing has looked this good.”
·  “This is so cool.”
·  “Wow!”

Contact us today. We would be happy to discuss this process with you and help you differentiate your brand image.

CPR Certification Training Conducted

Buhl Press employees trained and certified in CPR and First Aid

During the first quarter of 2012, eight members of the Buhl Press completed and passed the American Heart Association – Heartsaver CPR/AED course and the Heartsaver First Aid Course.

These two training courses demonstrate how committed the Buhl Press is to protecting the well-being of our employees. Furthermore, we believe that training employees in areas that they can utilize outside of their employment will also benefit society.

While on the premises, the Berkeley Fire Department also taught all Buhl Press employees the proper methods and conditions for using our fire extinguishers.

We would like to thank the Berkeley, Illinois Fire Department for administering our training and working closely with the businesses in our community.
